Chekan I. Strategic management of the regional economy

The dissertation is devoted to research of the scientific bases and substantiation of strategic management theoretical and practical concepts and development of practical recommendations on improvement of strategic management system, which provides formation of key competitive advantages and advanced development of regional economy. Based on scientific and theoretical analysis and critical review of modern concepts, it is proposed to improve the categorical apparatus, which allowed to define the meaning of strategic development as a system that includes the goal of development, quality management of economic activity, institutions, resources and levers with creative basis, and its implementation requires strategic management. Within the framework of diagnostics of development of Trans Carpathian region, the definite evaluation methods and indicators are selected, the application of which provides an opportunity in the process of strategic management to perform additive function of analysis, measure the impact of certain parts on the general phenomenon and homologous function. This gives strategic management the opportunity to identify similarities in the objects being studied and, therefore, to identify similarities or differences in the qualities they acquire, including as a result of strategic decisions.
