The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical and experimental substantiation of composition, manufacturing technology, development of quality control methods, research of efficiency and safety of dimethindene maleate and dexpanthenol gel for the treatment of insect allergy. The expediency of developing a new medicinal product for the local therapy of allergic reactions in the form of a gel with a combination of the antihistamine dimethindene maleate and the reparative substance dexpanthenol has been substantiated. Based on the study of the solubility of dimethindene maleate, the use of propylene glycol as a solvent for the introduction of dimethindene maleate to the hydrogel base by type of solution has been justified. The combination of biopharmaceutical and rheometric methods of research substantiates the use of hydrogel delivery system of dimethindene maleate and dexpanthenol, based on carbomer, for further pharmacological and microbiological studies. The expediency of using Euxyl 9010 preservative at a concentration of 0.75% has been experimentally substantiated. According to the results of physicochemical, structural-mechanical, microbiological and biopharmaceutical research methods, the composition of the gel under the conditional name "Pokusil". The results of identification and quantification of dimethindene maleate and dexpanthenol are presented and the project of Quality Control Methods of the finished medicinal product has been developed. The results of the gel stability study are presented.
