Karpenko V. S. Development of leadership competence of Assault Troops officers in the postgraduate education system. – Qualifying scientific work as a manuscript. Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in specialty 011 Educational, pedagogical sciences. – National Defence University of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2023. The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical-experimental solution of the scientific task regarding the development of leadership competence of officers of the Airborne Assault Troops of the tactical level in the postgraduate education system. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the research topic, its connection with scientific programs, plans, topics, defines the goal, task, object, subject and methods of the research, reveals the scientific novelty and practical significance of the obtained results, provides information about the approbation and implementation of the research results, publications. In the dissertation study, the analysis, generalization and actualization of pedagogical theory, military pedagogical and military practice was carried out in relation to the solution of the scientific task, which consists in substantiating the development of military leadership and leadership competence of officers of the Assault Troops in the system of postgraduate education. Leadership theories became the theoretical basis of the research, namely: behavioral theory, influence theory, followership theory, life cycle theory, etc. The conducted analysis of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the study made it possible to substantiate the content and structure of the concept of "leadership competence", "military leadership", "military leader". The methodology for the development of the leadership competence of the Assault Troops officers in the post-graduate education system is substantiated and developed. The criteria and indicators for assessing the level of development of the leadership competence of officers of the State Security Service in the system of postgraduate education have been determined, in particular: cognitive, praxeological (military-professional), individual-psychological. A pedagogical experiment was conducted in order to practically verify the developed model of development of the leadership competence of Assault troops officers of the in the system of postgraduate education and the pedagogical conditions for the development of the leadership competence of officers defined in the dissertation. According to the results of the pedagogical experiment, significant differences were found in the development of leadership competence among the Assault troops officers, who carried out independent work and advanced their qualifications according to the traditional training method (CG), and the level of development of leadership competence among the Assault troops officer, who were trained according to the training method (EG) developed by the author. The scientific novelty of the research results is that: – for the first time, a model for the development of the leadership competence of Assault troops officers in the post-graduate education system was developed and experimentally tested, which contains functional-target, conceptual-technological, subject-subject, methodical, control-diagnostic, result-oriented blocks and provides opportunities for the integration of graduate training and advanced training of officer personnel within the framework of leadership courses (L-courses) in the system of professional military education; – a methodology for developing the leadership competence of tactical-level Assault troops officers in the process of their professional training in the post-graduate education system was developed, as a multi-level system of training officer-leaders in leadership courses (L-1С, L-2). – the conceptual and categorical apparatus of military pedagogy was improved by outlining the concepts of "military leadership", "military leader", "leadership competence"; – classification of leadership qualities of a tactical-level military police officer based on a contextual approach and criteria for evaluating their development in the postgraduate education system; – the methodical support of the professional training of the Assault troops officers in the system of postgraduate education was further developed through the development and practical approval of the educational training "Leadership of the Assault troops officer". The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the development of the methodology for the development of leadership competence of officers of the Assault Troops in the postgraduate education system, as well as the educational training "Leadership of the officers of the Assault Troops".
