ABSTRACT The dissertation on competition of a scientific degree of the Doctor of Philosophy on a specialty 051 – Economics (05 - Social and Behavioral Sciences). – National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Kharkiv, 2022. The dissertation presents the results of the research of theoretical and scientific-methodical provisions, as well as the development of practical recommendations for improving the processes of forming a system of strategic controlling of enterprise development factors on the example of enterprises in the machine-building industry. The object of the study is the process of strategic controlling of factors of industrial enterprise development. The subject of the study is a set of theoretical and methodical approaches, principles and methods to the formation of a system of strategic controlling factors of the development of an industrial enterprise in conditions of a high level of uncertainty of the influence of the external environment. The purpose of the dissertation is the scientific substantiation of theoretical provisions and the development of practical recommendations for the formation and implementation of a system of strategic controlling factors of the development of an industrial enterprise. In accordance with the set goal, the following tasks were set and solved in the dissertation work: - conduct research and generalize the national and foreign experience of implementing and functioning of the strategic controlling system at enterprises and develop the related categorical and conceptual apparatus; - to form theoretical and methodological provisions regarding the formation of a system of strategic controlling factors of the development of an industrial enterprise; - to conduct an analysis of the macroeconomic environment of machine-building enterprises in the national economy, to justify a methodical approach to the economic assessment of the level of their development; - to develop a scientific and practical approach to the selection of typologically homogeneous groups of industrial enterprises according to economic development trends; - to form methodological recommendations for the formation and implementation of the strategic controlling system at the industrial enterprise; - to improve the organizational and economic tools for controlling factors of strategic development of the enterprise; - to develop scientific and practical provisions for the introduction of a system of predicative strategic controlling of enterprise development. The scientific novelty of the conducted research consists in the development and substantiation of theoretical and methodological provisions and practical recommendations regarding the formation of a system of strategic controlling factors of the development of an industrial enterprise. The main scientific achievements of the recipient are the following: improved: - determination of the essence and content of the economic definition "controlling" and related concepts; - the organizational and economic toolkit for controlling the factors of strategic development of the enterprise; - scientific and practical regulations for the introduction of the system of predicative strategic controlling of the development of the enterprise; received further development: - theoretical and methodological provisions for the formation of a system of strategic controlling factors of the development of an industrial enterprise; - a methodical approach to assessing the level of economic development of an industrial enterprise; - the provision of a scientific and practical approach to the selection of groups of industrial enterprises, which is based on clustering; - methodological recommendations for the formation and implementation of a strategic controlling system at an industrial enterprise. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the fact that the theoretical, methodological and methodical provisions, conclusions and recommendations of the dissertation have been brought to the level of practical developments and implemented in the activities of the enterprises: LLC "ALPHAPEY" (certificate No. 77-17/06 dated 17.06.2021) , LLC "INNOVATIVE OIL AND GAS TECHNOLOGIES SCIENTIFIC AND PRODUCTION COMPANY" (certificate No.03 dated 18.01.2023), Scientific and Technical Concern "Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems" of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (certificate No. 01 dated 20.10.2019), JSC "KHARKIV MACHINE-BUILDING PLANT "SVITLO SHAHTARYA" (certificate No. 01 dated 18.11.2022) and in the educational process of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (act dated 01.27.2023).
