Makarova N. Overcoming the performance anxiety in the process of a pianist's artistic activity: culturological and pedagogical aspects

The dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 034 “Cultural Studies” (03 “Humanities”). — Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2023. The study's relevance investigates the problem of overcoming performance anxiety as an established tradition of interpretation and appropriate means of prevention and elimination through the content of the psychological barrier, which initiated the emergence of two aspects of its comprehension. Regarding the issue in the light of professional music performance, one is concerned about the psychological problem of stage fright or completely denies performance anxiety. In this case, stage fright appears as a professional inconsistency of a performing pianist. The latter has minimal theoretical reflection but integrates into the practice of preparing a musician for performance.
