The thesis is devoted to the study of the problem of organising the management of investment activity of a higher education institution. The work analyses and systematises the main scientific achievements, domestic and foreign educational practices concerning the outlined problem. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for external support of the higher education sector and its institutions through investment, in the conditions of rapid reform and integration into the European area of higher education. The organization management of investment activities of a higher education institution (hereinafter HEI) is one of the directions of its internal management, which determines the priority vectors of the development of the educational institution; affects the formation of rating indicators; ensures the establishment of new cross-sectoral connections of HEI with potential stakeholders; increases the level of competitiveness of HEI in the service marketing; improves the material and technical base and contributes to the renewal of the infrastructure, the implementation of the main indicators of the activity of HEI, etc. The purpose of the research is the theoretical substantiation of the organization of management of investment activity and research verification of the level of readiness of subjects of investment activity to the interaction of state and public institutions in the organization of management of investment activity of the HEI. The object of the research is the process of managing the investment activities of a HEI. The subject of the research is the content, forms and methods of organizing the management of investment activities of a HEI. The scientific novelty of the obtained research results is that for the first time: theoretical and applied principles of management of investment activities of HEI in the discourse of the main educational fields (Economics of Education, Sociology of Education, Educational Management and Philosophy of Education) are determined; scientific and organizational conditions for managing investments in HEI (organizational, resource, communication) are formulated and substantiated; the stages of legal regulation of the organization management of investment activity of HEI are distinguished (organizational and rule-making (1991-1996), content-procedural (1997-2013), European integration (2014- present)); the model of the organization management of investment activities of HEI was developed, which includes six components: organizational and 10 preparatory, conceptual, technological, implementation, monitoring and final; the mechanisms of interaction of state and public institutions in the organization management of the investment activities of HEI are substantiated, the theoretical foundations of their formation through the goal (ensuring the effective organization of the management of the investment activities of HEI) are determined; the mechanisms of interaction of state and public institutions in the organization management of the investment activities of HEI are substantiated, the theoretical foundations of their formation through the goal (ensuring the effective organization of the management of the investment activities of HEI) are determined; basic principles (dynamism, integration, efficiency, perspective, planning, realism, effectiveness, self-governance); key priorities (improving the process of organizing the management of investment activities of HEI; increasing the efficiency of using the resources of the digital environment of the educational institution); leading approaches (axiological, competence, resource, system) to their implementation; improved: the content of the concepts "interaction of state and public institutions in the organization management of investment activities of HEI", "mechanisms of management of investment activities of higher education" and "organization of investment management of HEI"; the theoretical and methodological foundations of the introduction of public-private partnership in the field of higher education and the idea of digitalization of education, which relate to the optimization of the management functions of HEI in general and its individual areas in particular, were further developed.
