Essay

Today, there is an increase in the number of patients who receive removable dentures, which leads to an increase in the number of oral mucosal complications due their use. To analyse the effectiveness of orthopedic treatment of patients with CRDs, at the first stage of the study, the condition of the PBM tissues was studied in people with CRDs living in the Transcarpathian region. The spectral properties of different types of acrylic resins were experimentally investigated to control their complete polymerisation. A method of manufacturing and controlling the complete polymerisation of CRDs, manufactured by spectrophotometric method, was developed. A number of dental impression spoons with variable geometry for the maxilla and mandible was developed and offered for making better quality impressions. The effect of ozone therapy on the activity of strains of bacterial and fungal flora of the oral cavity (OC) was studied experimentally in laboratory conditions. At the second stage, the following aspects were studied in clinical conditions: the effect in the dynamics of treatment of patients with CRDs made of acrylic resin with control of their complete polymerisation and ozone therapy of the PBM on the indicators of the OC microflora, clinical condition and atrophic processes of the PBM, fixation and hygienic condition of CRDs. Based on the study of correlations in the experimental groups in the dynamics of orthopedic treatment of patients with CRDs, a significant direct dependence of the intensity of development of both localised and volumetric atrophy of the cellular processes of the maxilla and mandible on the presence of plaque on removable dentures and inflammatory processes of the PBM was revealed.
