The dissertation is devoted to a comprehensive study of theoretical, methodological and applied problems of improving the management of intellectual capital development of construction enterprises. The effective implementation of the management of the intellectual potential of construction enterprises is important for the creation of unique competitive advantages as a response to the challenges of globalization, the era of the knowledge economy, the development of communication and information technologies, and the post- war reconstruction of Ukraine. The research paper develops a model of the characteristics of intellectual capital according to the classification determinants important for domestic construction enterprises. The focus of the study was achieved by developing an algorithm, the implementation of which allows to systematically solve the problem of development of intellectual capital of construction enterprises, to forecast the strength and direction of its impact, to assess changes and further analyze the validity of decisions made. On the example of construction enterprises, indicators are defined, which can be used in the process of monitoring the status of components of intellectual capital of construction enterprises. Application of the proposed classification of factors of intellectual capital development and prompt reaction to their impact is based on the methodology of situational approach to intellectual capital management, taking into account industry specifics. The first part contains the study of theoretical and methodological support of the efficiency of intellectual capital management of construction enterprises. It is established that in the conditions of the innovative knowledge economy the most important resource is the personal factor of production. Based on the study, the structural model of intellectual capital was supplemented with human, social (customer), brand and organizational capital, which in turn is divided into structural, intellectual property and information product. Unlike intellectual capital, human capital, as a result of investment and accumulation in the form of knowledge, skills, abilities, health, and psychological qualities of a person, is used to obtain a useful result through intellectual labor. The most complete optimization of the reorganization of intellectual capital is formed through the development of details of methods and tools for its management, which includes a set of methods and functions for managing its structural components of the integral unity of management used in the production of construction products, intellectual property, information, regulatory and legal, and regulatory and technical support in the construction industry in order to obtain added value in the context of sustainable development of enterprises. The second section assesses the status of intellectual capital management of construction enterprises in recent years. The state of development and further recommendations for managing the intellectual capital of construction enterprises should be studied in areas covering certain types of construction enterprises in the construction industry with the allocation of individual components of intellectual capital that determine the vector for improving the efficiency of management of certain areas, the value of which is determined using a qualimetric assessment. The third section substantiates the main provisions on the need to improve the methods of managing the intellectual capital of construction enterprises. The proposed main strategic directions for improving the management of the development of intellectual capital of construction enterprises in the context of intensive technological, economic and socio-cultural changes will facilitate the introduction of innovations, creation of intellectual products and solutions, updating and enriching the knowledge of staff, adapting their strategies to changes in the current operating environment. The stages of improving the management of intellectual capital development of construction enterprises are substantiated. The tasks of implementing a knowledge management system for the staff of construction enterprises are defined.
