Essay

For the first time, a strategy template of creating artificial lighting in open public spaces on the basis of GIS layers has been proposed The strategy consists of three levels of hierarchy that are: Level of lighting formation. On this level the lighting sources are added step-by-step from the first to the ninth layer according to the nine proposed functions of visual comfort mentioned above. Level of lighting revision. On this level adjustments are made to address emerging lighting conflicts in accordance with the norms and standards of psychophysiological visual comfort. Level of emphasis. On this level the basic elements of architectural environment, which should be emphasized in general lighting architectural composition of open public space, are highlighted. The requirements of the lighting revision level are taken into account.
