Semenyuk O. Use of special knowledge during the investigation of appropriation, waste of property or possession of it by abuse of official position

Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 081 – Law – National Academy of Internal Affairs, Kyiv, 2024. The dissertation study at the monographic level developed scientific principles and forensic methodical recommendations for the use of special knowledge during the investigation of embezzlement, embezzlement of property or taking possession of it by abuse of official position. A generalization of scientific research on the use of special knowledge during the investigation of appropriation, waste of property or possession of it by abuse of official position has been carried out, groups of scientific searches formed in accordance with the phasing of research investigations of scientists have been singled out. It was established that in Ukraine, starting from 1991, the relevant topic was covered in the general issues of the methodology of embezzlement investigation and separately – investigation of appropriation, waste of property or possession of it by abuse of official position; as well as during the investigation of embezzlement in such areas of management and types of financial and economic activity as the fuel and energy complex; coal industry; forestry; in the field of housing and communal services; in the banking system. The types of special knowledge used during the investigation of embezzlement, embezzlement or possession of property by abuse of official position were analyzed, their multi-level classification was proposed depending on the types of forensic examinations and according to the field of criminal offense – into special knowledge used during the investigation of embezzlement in budgetary sphere; in trade; in the field of construction; in forestry; in the field of banking activity; in the defense-industrial complex.
