The dissertation study is devoted to the problem of forming the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training. The purpose of the study was theoretical justification, development and experimental verification of the model of formation of research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training. The process of forming the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in institutions of higher education was chosen as the object of the dissertation research; the subject is the process of forming the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in institutions of higher education The state of development of the problem of formation of research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in pedagogical theory and practice is determined. The essence and structure of the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines is determined; Based on the analysis of the scientific literature, the pedagogical conditions for the formation of research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training have been identified and summarized. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the research results is that the author: the essence of the definitions "competence", "research competence" was clarified for the first time; the content and structure of the concept of "research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines" in the context of defined criteria (motivational-value, procedural-activity, information-communication, communicative, personal-creative, professional-reflexive); indicators and levels (high, sufficient, average, low) of formation of the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training; a set of methods for diagnosing the state of formation of research competence of future teachers of history and social science disciplines; the essence of the concept of "research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines" is determined; pedagogical conditions for the formation of the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training (ensuring the research orientation of the content of the disciplines under the educational program 014.03 "Secondary Education (History)"; immersion of future history teachers in active extracurricular project-research activities within the scope of the implementation of selective components according to OP; awareness by future teachers at the level of conviction of the importance of research competence for professional activity, the formation of national consciousness and patriotism in the process of professional training, the implementation of the methodological manual "Research activity of a history teacher: theory and practice"); a model for the formation of research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training is developed and experimentally tested; further development has been developed by the didactic tools to form the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training, in particular: the working program of educational discipline "Modern approaches to the organization. Research activities of students from history» and methodical manual "Research activity of the history teacher: theory and practice."
