The dissertation study is devoted to the problem of forming the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training. The purpose of the study was theoretical justification, development and experimental verification of the model of formation of research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in the process of professional training. The process of forming the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in institutions of higher education was chosen as the object of the dissertation research; the subject is the process of forming the research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in institutions of higher education The state of development of the problem of formation of research competence of the future teacher of history and social science disciplines in pedagogical theory and practice is determined.
