The dissertation is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of transformations in the management of business processes in international companies influenced by global digitalization and the development of scientific and practical recommendations for effective implementation of the automation of business processes in international supply chains.
This work concludes that formalization of business processes has become an important source of achieving business efficiency by optimizing productivity of end-to-end business processes that encompass functions, as well as processes that may go beyond the boundaries of an enterprise, including partners, suppliers and customers (value chain); building transparent business process support through business process modeling, monitoring and optimization/simulation; synchronizing the business process model with process execution and enabling business users and analysts to use the model to improve process performance and outcomes; ensuring effective integration of processes, business dimensions, policy management, content integration and enhanced collaboration to establish a foundation for continuous improvement; ensuring rapid iteration of processes and basic systems for continuous work on process improvement and optimization; ensuring measurable improvement in enterprise productivity that will directly contribute to organizational success and competitive advantage.
Based on the approaches, this dissertation proposes a systematization of the automation stages of business processes: definition of automation goals, definition of the target process, establishment of process boundaries, visualization of the current process, definition of automation possibilities, development of automation technical tasks, evaluation of tools and their capabilities, automation settings.
The application of cluster analysis and correlation-regression analysis enabled to conclude that there is no direct relationship between the share of research and development expenditures in GDP, the level of qualifications, digital competitiveness, and the level of high-tech exports.
The algorithm proposed by the author for the implementation of the road map of the digital transition within the framework of individual business processes involves the following sequence of actions: assessment of the current maturity along the four stages of the maturity model and identification of areas for improvement, determination of the target level of maturity and vision of the supply chain that will best support the chosen business strategy, determination the necessary stage of implementation and developing into a detailed roadmap, deployment of small pilot projects with end-to-end scale, segmented deployment and development of capabilities.
Created optimization model of the implementation of digital technologies in the management of the business processes of the supply chain of an international company enables to determine the best values of variables to achieve maximum profit (savings) thanks to the increase in the efficiency of procurement processes, reduction of direct and indirect costs, as well as optimization of investments for the introduction of modern electronic procurement tools (e-sourcing) and the Oracle Procurement Cloud, which in turn is aimed at ensuring the implementation of the company's ESG strategies and Sustainable Development Goals.
