The relevance of the research topic is determined by the constant conduct of electoral people in the world political process, in particular in Ukraine, which requires a comprehensive scientific justification of the use of certain technologies during the political and electoral processes of today. Political technologies, which are used during election contests, provide the role of the main toolkit in modern election contests, and therefore arouse little interest from the scientific community and have become one of the central research topics for scientists from all over the world, in particular, on the territory of Ukraine.
The use of political technologies as a tool of political rivalry and influence is an extremely relevant and fundamental issue for modern Ukrainian society, because it is political pluralism and honest, competitive and open electoral struggle that reflect the aspirations of Ukrainian citizens to ensure democratic values and protect human rights. The departure from the Soviet model of political struggle opened up new social and political opportunities for the state - choosing its own path of development. Since in the past only one political party dominated the USSR, society was deprived of the opportunity to make real political choices, which led to the stagnation of the entire political system, and therefore most people became apolitical and showed indifference to the electoral process. Subsequently, after the collapse of the USSR, Ukraine and a number of post-Soviet countries got a chance to completely reboot their socio-political system, and therefore new ways of development were needed, which would lay the foundations of political culture and legal awareness of citizens. Ukrainians have chosen for themselves a democratic - liberal path of development, where human rights are the highest value, and the electoral struggle takes place in conditions of real competition, based on the rule of law. In this context, international cooperation, the possibility of borrowing the best experience, first of all, of the EU and NATO countries, whose membership has become a strategic goal for Ukraine, recorded in the Constitution, has gained great importance. The chosen path of state development, in particular, the processes of decentralization, demanded from politicians vigorous, democratic competitiveness and consideration of regional specifics, rather than simple lobbying of individual group interests. He also envisioned the use of political technologies as legal tools to fight for electoral votes, taking into account the peculiarities of elections at various levels, including local ones.
