Essay

It has been shown that the ventilatory sensitivity to hypoxic stimulus decreases with aging and it is negatively correlated with dopamine levels of the blood and daily urine. Adaptation to the intermittent hypoxic training is accompanied by an increased ventilatory sensitivity in young and elderly ages. The changes occuring in the dopamine and other catecholamine levels in biological liquids under adaptation to the intermittent hypoxic training.
