The language of bilingual family. To learn functional peculiarities of two-language family members communication under conditions of Ukrainian-Russian bilibguism. The methods of research are questionnaire and observation over, audiorecording of spontaneous speech, correlation analyssis. The scientific research contains functional analisis of communication peculiarities of two-language familiy members. The main communicative behavior types of bilingues are stated, the principal features of mother, father, husband, wife and children influence upon the speech activity of the informant are identified. Besides, the dependence of the choice of language upon speech situation, communicative topic, speaker's social role and age is disclosed. The speech specific features of bilingual family members in the affective and stereotypical communicative situations are determined. Inculcation object is the obtained statistic data of the Ukrainian and Russian languages application in family and beside family communicat ion. The application sphere is language planning.
