Multigerm populations, pollinator lines, MS forms, MS-hybrids. Studies of genetic causes of heterosis effects for yield and sugar content in sugar beet MS hybrids developed with the use of pollinators of Veselopodilska breeding station stock. Field methods, genetic-statistical analysis, Venema automatic line. Changes found in additive and non-additive portions in the formation of heterosis effect for yield and sugar content dependins on homo-heterozygosis of the crossing component. Recommendations for breeding practice on developing MS-hybrids of yielding and sugar types have been elaborated. The recommendations have been introduced into practice of sugar beet breeding at the Institute for Sugar Beet of UAAS, Experiment-Breeding Stations of the Institute for Sugar Beet of UAAS. Ten MS-hybrids ensuring an increase of sugar yield by 5-9% as compared with the group standard were submited for the State variety testing. Agriculture of Ukraine.
