Essay

The thesis is devoted to study of influence of different recombinant molecule, containing human insulin gene, on the change of glucose level in different biological system, namely: mammalian cells culture and in mice with artificially induced diabetes. As the result of research, different recombinant molecules, containing human insulin gene and various regulatory sequences, (for example, promoters, enhancers, sites contributing long existence of vector in cells and etc.) were constructed. The influence of these different molecular constructions on the change of the glucose level in the cells culture and in the diabetic mice is defined. It was shown that the regulatory sequences of hepatitis B genome are able to intensify the effect of introducing the human insulin gene into the model object, thus we observe more significant reduction in the glucose level and prolongation of this effect.
