Essay

An actual state of potato production, its keeping, processing and realization are analyzed in the dissertation. An economic and mathematical model for forecasting of the potato-production subcomplex development was elaborated as multipurpose, by several optimality criteria. A forecast for development of the subcomplex for the period up to 2005 year was based upon the mwthods of calculation of the relative and total efficiency indices. Propositions as to the functioning of the potato agrarian-industrial subcomplex in conditions of market economy are given.
