Martynenko O. Medical and social aspects of venereal diseases and ways to optimization of medical assistance

The present research thesis covers such issues as the incidence of STD in Ukraine, development of the system of preventive measures of STD, organization and terms of medical assistance. Incidence of STD permanently trends to grow in Ukraine. The present system of medical assistance, in spite of availability of sufficient facilities and human resources, does not provide optimal organizational forms of STD treatment. We have defined most efficient organization and terms of medical assistance with regard to various STD. Further we have defined the most distinctive STD risk groups and developed the system of prevention of this kind of diseases considering most important social-hygienic and medical-biological risk factors. The results of the present research were implemented at national and regional levels.
