The dissertation is devoted to the research of US Policy toward the countries of Persian Gulf at the end of the 70s - mid 90-s. . The auther defines the factors, that had influence upor the formulation of the US policy as to the Persian Gulf; analyses conseptual essence of the policy and identifies the interaction of this policy within the global Americal policy. Considerable attention is paid the analysis of the forms and methods of the US foreign policy in the Persian Gulf, directed toward the maintenance, streangthening and enlargement of the American influence within the sub-region.
