The dissertation considers effects of the direct foreign investment on economic growth of a country in transition and conditions under investing into the electricity sector are the most favorable for its development. The mechanisms for improving state regulation of the electricity market, optimization business processes on the electricity enterprises and implementation of the new procedures aimed at attracting strategic investors have been studied.
