Essay

The dissertation is devoted to problems of linking research of the folk clothing in Western Ukrainian Polissya at the end of XIX - beginning of XX century, including interrelation between the articles and the terms of clothing, their ethnic and local peculiarities and their geographical spreading within the region. Structure of classification of local kinds of clothing is determined; ethnographic, real and historical description of corresponding phenomena is presented. Peculiar regional and local features of Western Polissya costume and areal indices of corresponding ethnographical and terminological division are shown.
