The perculiarities of ultrastructure and hystochemical characteristics of submandibular salivary glands and pancreas as well as their morphological and functional interrelation, localisation of insulin-like protein and glucagon and their changes in submandibular salivary glands of rats and human beings, interrelation between insulin-containing cells and glucagon-containing cells in rat's submandibular salivary glands have been studied on the background of thyroid hypofunction and hyperfunction as well as in the case of its correction. The activity of immunoreactive insuline in blood serum of rats and human beings have been determined in normal conditions and in the case of thyroid dysfunction.
