The dissertation is devoted to investigation of ideological and aesthetic search in Lviv' literary criticism of pre-war period. The source base of the dissertation is built on the materials of the literary periodical and archives files. The main genres of liteerary criticism, in which were realised ideological and aessssthic search, were: theoretical article, literary portrait and review. Those genres were presented by many publications in the literary journals in the 20-30-s.
