Lobanov M. Creation of the information and consulting service (extension) of the regional agricultural production (based upon Zaporozhye region materials).

The author described and analyzed the theoretical, organizational and economic aspects of the government participation in the information and consulting service. This work overviews the important points of the extension service organizational structure, describes the basic mission of this system. Considerable attention has been paid to the innovation activities of the extension organizations. The author worked out the three-level regional extension structure. Also organizational, information and methodological aspects of the extension activities have been generalized in this work. The main focus of this thesis is on the extension regional level, which has to provide the innovation process at the producers level, and also has to transform the upward information flows by means of scientific generalization and downward information flows by means of concretization taking into account the peculiarities of enterprises, socioeconomic and climatic conditions of production. Taking into account the abovemention ed circumstances, organizational structure of regional advisory center, technology, range of activities, organization of activity have been proposed, consultation cost calculation methods and efficiency estimation methods have been developed.
