Shkoropad V. Tribes of the Pomorian Klesh Culture in Volyn

The thesis and 10 scientific works in which the basic results of research are stated are being defended. The presenter holds up the following main principles: the existence in Volyn only monuments of the pomorian klesh culture and the absence of separate types of the pomorian and klesh culture: the old residences of the pomorian klesh culture appeared in Volyn in the end of the IV century BC and had existed by the I century BC; having some local peculiarities of the memorial culture, in house building, funeral ritual the pomoriacn-klesh culture tribes form the eastern part of the total area; when living on the territory of Volyn, a part of the pomorian-clesh population, that belonged to the polessian group, took pact in the formation of the Polessian variant of the zambenets culture and western and eastern groups coexisting for some period of time with the new formed zambenets culture had been assimilated by the pshevorian tribes.
