The dissertation is devoted to research of the development of the conceptual-theoretical base of the modern Ukrainian foreign policy, mechanism of formation of external strategy of Ukraine, as well as problem issues and priority ways of its realisation. The author has analysed the activity of the state institutional mechanism in formation of foreign policy course of Ukraine in 1990-1999, has formulated and evaluated criteria and principles of definition of the state national interests, and also has established and investigated their interrelation with priorities of Ukraine's foreign policy partnership.
