Essay

The object of investigations - ordinary chernozems of Donbass region (irrigated and boharic), irrigation waters, crops, meliorants, adsorbents. The objective of investigations - to estimate ecology-ameliorative condition of irrigated lands of Donbass region, to determine the conformities of heavy metals (HM) migration, transformation, translocation in the "irrigation water-soil-plant" system, to elaborate the methods of remediation for the polluted waters and soils. The methods of investigations - field, pot and dummy-laboratory experiments, laboratory physical and chemical analysis, mathematical interpretation of experimental materials. The theoretical results - correlations between HMs content in the different parts of "irrigation water-soil-plant" system were found, peculiarities of transformation, migration and profile distribution of HMs mobile forms in the soils, as well as of its translocation in the crops were revealed. The estimation indexes of effeciency of soil remediation methods (absorbents, washing irrigation) were proposed. The practical results - maps of irrigation water quality, of HMs content in the soils, of ecology-ameliorative conditions of irrigated lands of Donbass, were compiled. Methods of remediation for water and soils were elaborated, the standard document and the recomendations as to ways of increasing of the fertility of irrigated soils of Donbass region were published. The novelty - first complex estimation of irrigated lands of Donbass was executed, the conformities of metals migration, transformation, translocation were determined, methods of remediation for water and soils were elaborated. The state of practical use - the results of investigations are being used for monitoring of irrigated lands, for the prognosis of its condition, for planning of meliorative methods. Sphere of application - agricultural production.
