Essay

The thesis considers the problem of student cognitive original activity while studying the subject Polyphony. The theoretical analysis of sientific literature has been done; the essence and specificity of polyphony in the context of its pedagogical significance have been cleared; the theoretical model of the development of student cognitive original activity has been calibrated and scientifically substantiated; the system of psychological tasks has been proposed . The author has calibrated and experimentally approbated the method of the development of student cognitive original activity in studying the musical and theoretical subject Polyphony; has defined the effectiveness of the given investigation. Three stages of criteria in the development of cognitive original activity: creative (high), reconstruction (middle), reproduction (low) are worked out in the thesis. The significance of received data for further development of musical pedagogical theory and practice has been proved.
