This work considers the main positions of metaphysic in the classical philosophical tradition, and also the specificals of metaphysical methodology in connection with the special metaphysical problems. Dissertation points out the place and role of metaphysic as a discipline in modern philosophy, and provers the leading role of the first theory of metaphysics. In this research it has been proven, that all of the important positions of the metaphysics of tomism are deduced from the important theory of existence in itself (ipsum esse) in one way or the other they explains this theory.
