Essay

The thesis is devoted to theoretical questions and practical development of the methods of creation the level of communicative competence which allow the higher school applicants to pass entering exams in English. Using of the principles of intensive teaching is theoretically proved and practically demonstrated. While creating the course we took into consideration the demands to the applicants concerning the level of the English language proficiency. This level is described in school programs, State Educational Standard Project, Recommendations of the Council of Europe. In the thesis the model of the course is suggested. This model shows how the language and speech material has been divided in the course. We have composed polylogue texts and the system of exercises.
