Kucherenko S. Organization and Effectiveness of the Fruits and Vegetables Processing at the Consumer Cooperation System

Objects of the study: Vinnytsia, Kirovograd and Cherkassy consumer unions' canneries and Uman co-operative enterprise "Uman cannery". The aim of the study: the investigation of the cooperative development problem and grounding of the guidelines for organization improving and increasing efficiency of the vegetables-and-fruits product processing by consumer cooperative enterprises under condition of market transformation processes. Methods: historical-economic, statistical, monographic, abstract-logical, balancing. Theoretical and practical results: summarized theoretical and applied issues of the fruits-and-vegetables processing at the consumer cooperative enterprises and the providing concrete directions of their activity and simultaneous improving of row product supply for the canneries within the historical and economic retrospective. Research novelty: the particularities of the organizational factors' impact to the effective production providing at the cooperative structures have been discovered; th e necessity of the canning industry reforming and transformation to the sustainable and efficient fruits-and-vegetables canning production, as a factor of competitiveness providing, have been grounded; the proposals for increasing efficiency of the fruits-and-vegetables processing have been developed; the directions of the fruit-and-vegetables processing enterprises' competitiveness increase have been determined. Level of implementation: scientific recommendations are implemented within the system of the Ukrainian Consumer Union's processing enterprises. Efficiency: the results of the study promote more comprehensive use of the processing enterprises' capacity as well as their product's competitive advantages. Sphere of using: the canning industry of the consumer cooperation and agricultural enterprises of Ukraine.
