Tne thesis considers theoretical and practical aspects of activity of honorary consuls. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the criteria of institute of honorary consuls, to its use in International Law and in current consular practice of Ukraine. In dissertation is made a comparative law analysis of legal acts of foreign countries which regulate juridical status of honorary consuls and consular institution headed by these persons and judicial practice of their states.
