Essay

The dissertation contains the results of theoretical and experimental research of the corrective pedagogical conditions of the formation of gymnastic abilities of mentally handicapped children. Specific peculiarities of anatomic, physical and morphofunctional development of anomalous children in comparison with the norm are analyzed here. Anomalous children need serious improvement of their physical, intellectual and emotional training. The problem of general ability to work of sick children is emphasized in the process of work with them. It's especially seen while working with girls whose physiological constitution is more complicated, delicate and easily influenced by unfavorable irritants. It's obvious, that calisthenics answers the peculiarities of the female motive functions, the ability to perform smooth and lithe motions, the wide range of which allows to use them both in work with normal and anomalous children. Junior school age is mostly preferable for such work (age 7-13). Experimental work i ncluded complex stages of adaptational, active-formational and competitive direction. The model of studying exercises for anomalous children was created for consolidation of gymnastics habits. The participation of girls in competitions of various level became an active motivational stimulus. Special antistress training was used for the regulation of their emotional activity. The pedagogical experiment proved the high effectiveness of the suggested corrective developing research work. It gave the opportunity to develop methodical recommendations on organization and introduction of this new kind of activity at auxiliary schools.
