Dissertation deals with the problem of genesis of first-formers' capability for joint activity in situations of uncertainty. The situation of uncertainty is shown to be a factor of both actualisation and structuring of first-formers' joint activity and, therefore, of their personal development. The system of methods improve the first-formers' capability for joint activity has been elaborated and approved. The diagnostic techniques have been worked out, directed to reveal the peculiarities of group interaction. A method to determine the level of a first-formers' adaptability to situations of uncertainty has been proposed also.
