The dissertation is devoted to the development of the technology for chemical treatment of manganese ores from the Nikopol deposit based on determining the forms of some phosphorus presence in oxide ores and working out the methods for its removal. The dissertation defines the main parameters effecting the dephosphorization process. For the first time the use of unconventional reducing agents for reduction of manganese dioxide to treat low-grade material and spent acid solutions after dephosphorization using Purbe diagram analyses is proposed. The electrochemical cleaning of the leached manganese solutions from impurities was investigated. The complex technology for chemical treatment was developed. The results found their application in the development of the chemical treatment shop at the Ordjonikidze mining and Beneficiation Combine.
