Kis T. Evolution of an art metaphor: linguistic and cultural aspect

The metafor is considered as such a lingual phenomenon, that is reflection of the mental models,that appear in the conscience of a person as a result of his cognitive-speech activity. The forming of metafors is influenced by the evolutionary changes of the process of world view, by the distinctive features of the cultural sphere,to which belongs a speaking person, the creator of the metaphor, and also by the changes in lexical and semantic system of the language. The aim of this work is to analyse the development of ancient base metaphors and the way of their system organisation in modern Ukrainian language. The descriptive, comparative and confrontational methods and the methods of the semantic reconstruction and component analyse are used. For the first time in the Ukrainian linguistic is realised an attempt to investigate the evolution of the metaphor as a complex anthropometry phenomenon, deep-rooted in the reality of the traditional life and connected with it the folk rite culture; is described th e characteristic of cultural and logical metaphors; is introduced the notion of metaphorical paradigm. The sphere of use is the compiling of the dictionaries of art expressions that could reveal the national feature of the language; the compiling of the ideographical dictionary of the Ukrainian language.
