Vojtukh I. Surgical treatment of nephrolitiase of doubled kidneys and upper urinary trackt.

There are peculiarities of diagnosis and surgical treatment of 174 patients presented in the thesis. These patients were being observed in 1962-1998. There were 50 per cent of them that had different reasons of obstruction of doubled ureter. The mentioned above patients underwent 199 operations - 40 ureterolitotomia, 73 pielolitotomia or nephrolitotomia, 32 pielolitotomia in conjunction with anastomization of doubled ureters, 39 heminephractomia, 15 nephractomia. Long terms results of operations were examined during 34 years. It was noticed that in cases with single stones with preserved function of a kidney and absence of in-born obstructions of urinary trackt ureterolitotomia, pielolitotomia or nephrolitotomia can be used. In cases with in-born obsructions with defects of urodynamics, reconstructive operations that eliminate the causes of obstructions of urinary trackt should be implied. In cases with multiple, coral-like, recurrent stones if the function of segment of anomalous kidney is not present heminephractomia is to be used. The indications for nephrectomia are to be restricted in connection with high frequency of developments of disease of the other kidney and restrict with the non-fuctioning kidney with irreversible morphological changes.
