Khomenko I. Original radio drama: history, theory, practice

The dissertation is devoted to historical, theoretical and practical questions concerning original broadcasting art. The experience of Ukrainian non-visual dramatic art of the 30's of the 20th century is researched for the first time. The questionable statements of the radio play theory that caused the confrontation of different scientific trends are being reviewed. The evolution of the radio play is analyzed from the position of mass communication theory and engineering knowledge. The genre uniqueness of radio plays is for the first time discussed considering the abstraction degree of reality models contained in them. It lets to exclude the contradiction between the "acoustic" and "poetical" conceptions of radio communication art on the theoretical level. Theoretical statements of work are based on practical experience of the applier as a radio playwright and the results of experimental staging. They were performed within the scientific and practical program of the Institute of Journalism.
