Essay

Main purpose of work to study functional condition and ecological aspects in newborn calves sick with struma in conditions of Rivne region. In most of sick calves for contents T3 and T4 and results of hystological researches installated hyperfunction of thyroid gland. Recived results can given theoretical explain of mechanism of development of endemic struma in calves and made classification of struma simultaneoresly for absolute and relative weight of thyroid gland. Results of researches are components of methodical recommendation "Dispensarization of cattle", confirmed scientific - technical council of the Main department of veterinary medicine with state veterinary inspection MAF of Ukraine 19 th of December 1996 (record # 4a) and textbook "Internal diseases of animals" (Bila Tserkva, 2001, Part 2), approved by Ministry agrarian politic of Ukraine. Scientific - researching center decided about given State department intellectual property given of patents on inventions: "Preparat for prophylactic ofhypothyreosis and endemic struma in the cattle" # 28378 А and "Method of postmortal diagnostic of inborn endemic struma in calves" # 36448 А.
