The object of the research is the "supplier-transport-receiver" complex, which incorporates integrated logistical system. The aim of the project is to develop management procedures for regulating the mechanism of transient processes of material flows at transport/storage facilities interaction and achieving integrated effect in transport system. The methods applied include systems engineering and the basics of logistics; set and graphs theory; problem-solving systems functions theory and the theory of automated control; computer control. Main theoretical outcomes are as follows: systems approach to analysing material flows of the integrated system has been formulated; the procedure for operation control of the chains of integrated system has been developed on the basis of transient processes in material flows; recommendations on risk factors management have been analysed, assessed and developed. Main practical outcomes are as follows: the developed methods for estimation of transient processes were applied to control the steel cargo flows and to define the design parameters of "Interport-Mariupol" material flows; engineering solutions for estimation of the risk factors in inter-operational processes have been put forward. The novelty of the research is that a new methodology for estimating transient processes of material flows has been obtained; the integrated logistical systems model of Ukrainian industrial complexes and free economic zones has been specified following the "just-in-time" criterion; the risk factors in the chains of the logistical sequence have been investigated and the method for estimating the probability of their occurrence has been proposed. Implementation ratio: individual outcomes of the research are used in the work of Mariupol Sea Port, in university training programs at PSTU, others are intended to be implemented. Area of application: transport and storage complexes and industrial clusters in Ukraine.
