Objects are arts and literary-critical arts by writer-symbolists D.Merezhkovsky, V.Brjusov, V.Ivanov, А.Beliy, А.Blok, dramatic art and prose by A.P.Cheсhov, aesthetic concepts and theories in their historical development.The aims to study of literary process in the Russian literature of the end XIX - beginning ХХ of century. Methods - the concept of a new historicism (intertextual analysis, discursive analysis, biographic analysis). The literary process is considered from the point of view of interaction of tradition, personificatin of which A.P.Chechov's the creativity and innovation is, which display was of symbolism. In work is offered and the hypothesis about determining character of interpretation is proved which, in turn, tests on herself influence of prevailing ideology, for perception(recognition) of the literature. In relation to this, symbolism is considered not only as the aesthetic concept, but also as ideology applying for domination and, hence, the statement of the sight but process of development of the literature, which top should become symbolists' art creativity. This tendency was resisted by realistic tradition, which Chechov continued to develop, switching in not elements of modernism. For the first time process of arising of symbolism is considered as result of overcoming " of fear of influence ". Also for the first time ideological orientation "of A.Beliy's "Symphonies" and his story " the Silver pigeon " is shown as result of an opposition to influence рroses A.P.Chechov.
