The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical and practical problems of formation of youth labor market in transitional economy. Socio-economic essence of youth labor market, its peculiarities as factor of economic growth, its place and role in transitional market economy, macroeconomic environment of labor activity of youth in transitional period are defined in the given work. The paper reveals the tendencies of the shift in composition and structure of youth labor potential, the influence of structural changes on the development of youth labor force market, the controversies of transformational modifications, the solution of which demands reinforcement of labor motivation of the development of youth labor force, the complex of formation of labor market infrastructure, the strengthening of governmental regulation of socio-labor relations.
