Object of research - a history of development of an agricultural science in Ukraine. Object of research - becoming and development of flax production as one of conducting branches of an agricultural production. The problems put in work, are solved with use comparation, special methods of historical research. For the first time the historico-scientific analysis of genesis of Ukrainian flax in a world context is carried out, is offered periodicity development domestic development of flax production , the objective estimation of scientific operating time of conducting scientists is given.
