Essay

This dissertation gives the comparative analysis of the functional semantic field of the subjective modality on the data accumulated from the Ukrainian, Russian, English and German languages. It also explores the means of expression of the subjective modality meaning belonging to the different language layers (phonetic, lexical, morphological-syntactical, lexical-syntactical and textual). Special attention is given to the mutual relations between the modality macrofield components.
