Object of research: process of economical and organizational service of region in system of the railway passenger messages. The purpose of research: development of theoretical, methodical and practical rules concerning improvement of the organizational and economic mechanism of transport service of regions by maintenance of effective functioning of the enterprises of railway passenger transport in interaction with local bodies of self-management. Research reception and equipment: a dialectic method of knowledge general, special, individual in self-development, methods of the complex analysis of the carried out phenomena and synthesis of their results, methods of economic, correlational and regressional analysis, methods of calculation and analytical, statistical analysis, groupings, selective inspections, method of expert estimations, and also balance method. Theoretical and practical results: the organizational features of construction of structure of management of railway passenger transportations (direction, principles, mechanism, staging, as way of increasing of efficiency of transport service of region are theoretically generalized. The principles and logic of formation of theoretical bases on creation of the railway passenger company are determined. The opportunity of development diversifikational activity at the enterprises of railway passenger transport is determined and proved. The separate rules of the dissertation became a basis of materials of lectures and seminars, course and degree designing on disciplines: " Economy of a railway transportation ", " the Analysis of economic activity of the enterprises of a railway transportation ". The results of research have found practical realization. There are introduced by the Donetsk railway, passenger service of the Donetsk railway, railway station of station of Donetsk. The scientific novelty of the received results consists in the complex approach to the decision of a problem of perfection of organization of railway passenger transport of region onthe basis of using of rules of the modern economic theories and increasing of efficiency of interaction of the railway with region for development of transport service of the population; necessity of strengthening of a role of railway passenger transport for service of requirements of region in conditions of transformation of the economic relations for the first time is proved; the necessity of perfection of the economic mechanism of management of passenger transportations is argued, and also the principles and logic of creation of the railway passenger company for perfection of transport system of region are determined. Sphere of use are the enterprises of railway passenger transport of Ukraine, bodies of local self-management, higher educational institutions.
