Dzhiga M. Problems of lawfulness and expediency in the process of guaranteeing the legal status of an accused person during the crime investigation.

The thesis is devoted to the research of the topical theoretical and practical problems related to the guaranteeing the legal status of an accused person during the crime investigation, following the demands of lawfulness and expediency. The content, essence, forms and meaning of crime investigation in the system of criminal legal proceedings on the basis of lawfulness and expediency are considered. Those notions are analyzed separately taking into consideration the essential principles of legal proceedings, history, philosophy, international standards and modern practices of the new legislation implementation. The essence and structure of the legal status of the accused person and guaranteeing it in the interrelation with the person's and citizen's rights and liberties, as well as the international standards, are defined.
