Essay

Subject: the base social-age statuses, key social roles and functions the woman in borders of a rural family. Aim: to restore an integrated picture of a position the woman in the Ukrainian family. Methods: sociological, historical, cultural, gender approach. Results: for the first time on between-discipline level the position, role and function the woman in the Ukrainian rural family of 2 half XIX - 1 third XX centuries is investigated, the new direction in a historical ethnology - ethnogenderology is established.
