The dissertation is dedicated to the vital problems of the development of paralympic sport. The work covers the role and importance of paralympic movement in the system of international sport. There are analysed the grounds of the conception of the invalid sport, the genesis of the conception of Paralympic Games and peculiarities of the holding various international sport competitions among disabled people. The work present the organization structure of the paralympic movement and gives the characteristics of the work of international sport organizations of disabled people.
