Essay

The dissertation research solves a scientific and practical problem of substantiation, development and implementation of technology for managing the competitive process in handball based on the use of rapid assessments of integrated indicators of competitive activity of handball players. In the dissertation research on the basis of the analysis and generalization of data of the literature and results of experimental researches the technology of management of competitive activity of a highly qualified handball team with the use of express estimation of integral parameters of competitive activity in the long competitive period with use of construction of competitive microcycles regularities of the general theory of training of athletes in Olympic and professional sports. For the first time an information support system was developed for analysis, rapid assessment and interpretation of integrated parameters of handball players' competitive activity; substantiated and developed criteria for rapid assessments of integrated indicators of competitive activity of highly qualified handball players; on the basis of the conducted research the express estimations of integral parameters of competitive activity are received and the corresponding scales of levels of competitive readiness of players are developed. The practical significance of the work is that the introduction of technology for managing the competitive activities of highly qualified handball players using rapid assessments of integrated parameters of competitive activities has significantly increased its efficiency through the development and practical implementation of information support system (ISS): «InfoHandball» v.1.3. and the author's computer program «StatsHBall». The efficiency of the technology of control of the competitive process of highly qualified handball players with the use of rapid assessments of the integrated indicators of competitive activity in the competitive period of the macrocycle has been experimentally proved. The result-significant indicators that are part of the complex of registration, analysis, interpretation and rapid evaluation of the results of competitive activities are determined. On the basis of the data of the formative experiment it is proved that the introduction of the author's technology of management of training and competitive process helped to increase the level of general and special physical fitness, efficiency of technical and tactical actions in competitive process and achieve high sports results nationally and internationally. Analysis and evaluation of competitive activity indicators allowed to determine the percentage of its effectiveness in highly qualified handball players by role and lines of attack (defense): «left extreme» – 67,77% (level «above average»); «right extreme» – 63,87% (level «average»); «line player» – 66,45% (level «above average»); «left middle» – 65,28% (level «above average»); «right semi-middle» – 64,57% (level «middle»); «point guard» – 64,19% («level average»). Positive dynamics during the ascertaining and formative stages of the consecutive pedagogical experiment was recorded in highly qualified handball players of the first and second line of attack: first line of attack: ascertaining stage: 60,08%; forming stage: 66,03% (statistically significant differences, at p<0,05); second line of attack: ascertaining stage: 57,67%; forming stage: 64,68% (statistically significant differences, at p<0,05). This indicates the effectiveness of the proposed technology for managing the competitive process of highly qualified handball players using rapid assessments of integrated indicators of competitive activity and information support system.
